Police: Man pulled knife on TJ Maxx worker in Va.

FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man has been arrested after police say he took out a knife at a Fairfax store while attempting to get a refund for merchandise without having a receipt.

Fairfax police officials say the incident happened at the TJ Maxx at 10300 Main Street at 8:39 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, 33-year-old Christopher Scott Kohne displayed a knife to an employee while trying to get the refund money and then left the store, triggering a security alarm.

Kohne was later arrested near his home in Fairfax. Police say items from the store were found in his possession.

According to police, Kohne was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center. He was charged with assault with a knife, grand larceny and possession of burglarious tools. Kohne was then ordered held without bond.
