FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Fairfax County 7-Eleven robbery prompted a police chase into D.C. early Monday morning, police said.
Officers responded to a robbery at a 7-Eleven located at Lukens Lane around 3:18 a.m., according to Fairfax County police.
At least two armed suspects made employees go into a back room while they robbed the convenience store. According to authorities nobody was injured in the robbery.
The suspects drove off in a black vehicle with MD tags and a Fairfax County cruiser followed them. The officer initiated a traffic stop, however the suspect sped off.
A chase started and continued across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into D.C. where police lost track off the car.
Police recovered the unoccupied car in Northeast, D.C.
