Delays on Orange Line during longest safety surge

Riders deal with long delays on Orange Line

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Metro has started its longest stretch of single-tracking ever.

For 42 days, the Orange Line will be limited to one track between Vienna and West Falls Church as part of Metro’s massive safety overhaul.

Crews are replacing 4,000 rail ties across six miles of track.
