Woman sexually assaulted in Northeast

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) --The Metropolitan Police Department needs your help finding a suspect who they say sexually assaulted a woman in an alley in Northeast, D.C.

On Sunday, July 6 at approximately 1 a.m., police say a woman was walking in the 4000 block of Gault Place, NE when she was approached by an unknown male in a silver Dodge Charger.

Police say the suspect got out of the car and forced the woman into a nearby alley where he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a light complexion, 5 feet 6-inches tall, with a medium build, with a dreadlock type hair style pulled into a pony-tail, wearing a white t-shirt, grey sweat pants.

The suspect was seen operating a 2013/2014 silver colored Dodge Charger Sedan with unknown tags.
