Woman dies after being pulled from Potomac River

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- An adult woman has died after being pulled from the Potomac River in Georgetown, authorities said Tuesday evening.

The woman has been identified at 53-year-old Robyn McShay of Maryland. Police said there was no foul play in her death.

Officers were notified at 4:38 p.m. about the body of an adult female floating about 5 feet offshore of Water St., NW.

Initial reports from police said the woman was deceased. She was transported to a nearby medical facility and was in critical condition.
