Wednesday Pothole Alert: 42nd Street

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA9)--Maida Valencic says the potholes on 42nd Street in Northwest DC are worthy of our Pothole Alert.

MORE: Tell WUSA9 What Is Driving You Crazy

Maida is from Bethesda and evidently does a whole lot of driving in DC because this is the second time she has reached out to us. And we can see why. When our Pothole Patrol Team swung by 42nd Street between Garrison and Fessenden Streets we found a whopper of a pothole. It was worn down all the way to the rocks.

But we also found evidence of some previous repaving work that was unfinished.

MORE: Where To Report Potholes

We will be reporting these pits to the District Department of Transportation. And because it is Potholepalooza season, DDOT promises to fill potholes in 2 days after getting a trouble report.
