UPDATE: No shots fired in Southeast DC incident

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police were investigating a report of shots fired in the 4000 block of Hillside Road in Southeast Washington.

Police were notified of the potential shooting at 7:41 a.m. Officials said around 10 a.m. that someone was injured in the area, but not the result of being shot.

The patient suffered a non-life-threatening injury, police say.

D.C. police say three people were killed and four were injured in three separate shootings over the weekend.
