Teen arrested in NE assault of woman

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department has made an arrest in an assault with the intent to commit first degree sexual abuse that happened in NE D.C. on Monday.

Police said the incident happened between noon and 12:30 p.m. in the area of the 1800 block of 4th Street, NE, on the Metropolitan Bike Trail.

According to authorities the suspect assaulted her and then fled on a dark colored bike.

Authorities said Tuesday they arrested a juvenile male of NE, D.C. in connection with the assault He is being charged with assault with the intent to commit first degree sexual abuse.
