Some DC area neighborhoods untouched by plows

Northern Virginians are still dealing with the snow and trying to dig out before they head back to work on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Many local residents are saying that plowing is still an issue in residential areas throughout the DC metro. There are several ways to keep up with the plowing in your area.

During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Muriel Bowser said they need more people and crews to help clear up the roads and sidewalks. She thanked her team for all of their efforts. In addition, officials said they are focusing on residential areas that they have not been targeting over the past few hours. Their goal is to get to every part of the District.

Viewers in Montgomery County have been reaching out to WUSA9  and sharing stories about neighborhoods that have not been touched by a plow days after the blizzard.

"Are you keeping a running tally of how many neighborhoods have not been plowed yet? If so, please add Plantations II in Damascus, MD (technically a Gaithersburg zip code) to the list," Mary Jean DePont Osborne‎ posted to our Facebook page

Residents in other Maryland counties, including Prince George's County and Anne Arundel County, have also been complaining about the snow.

"I live in Severn Maryland. It has been 4 days and my neighborhood hasn't seen not 1 snow plow. My neighbors and I dug our cars out, but we can't still leave our neighborhood or the court where my house is located. Can you please send us a snow plow," Tammuel Edelen posted.
