SILVER ALERT cancelled in DC for 80-year-old man

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police have cancelled a Silver Alert* for an 80-year-old DC man, who was last seen Monday afternoon on Otis Street NE.

The Metropolitan Police Department issued a release on Wednesday saying that Salvadore Rivera was located.

No other details were released.

*A Silver Alert is similar to an Amber Alert. It is a public notification system to broadcast information about missing people, especially seniors with Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, or other conditions.
