Second victim dies, suspect arrested in DC double-murder

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A second person was pronounced dead late Sunday evening in a D.C. double-murder case, police said.

Donchell Thomas, 21, of Montgomery Village was pronounced dead on Sunday morning. The second victim, Derek Prince, 20, of District Heights, Md., was pronounced dead on Sunday evening, police said.

The shooting happened at around 1:18 a.m. at North Capitol and T Streets, NW, police said.

A third victim, whom police described as a juvenile, was injured in the shooting as well. Police have not updated his medical status.

The suspect in the triple-shooting, Jimmie Fleming, 36, of Northwest, D.C., has been charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder and one count of Assault With Intent to Kill, police said.

"Upon arrival, one juvenile and two adults suffering from apparent gunshot wounds were located inside a vehicle. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the three victims to a local hospital," police said in a news release.
