For weeks many viewers told WUSA9 about the potholes they were encountering while driving along I-395 and the Third Street Tunnel.

WUSA9 has been reporting your complaints to DDOT and DDOT has been responding. Coming out in the promised times to make temporary repairs. Which is all they really could do. Mother Nature needs to cooperate in order for DDOT to make permanent fixes. This is because temperatures need to be consistently in the 40-plus degree range. Mother Nature is cooperating now.

On Saturday, April 12, DDOT will begin filling potholes and repairing the road on northbound and southbound I-395 inside the Third Street Tunnel and Air Rights Tunnel. This work will happen from 7am to 7pm. Commuters should expect delays, but with a big pay off. Smoother driving.
