One of those restaurants, LA Cafe, was closed twice in 4 months by the DC Health Department. Inspectors closed LA Cafe in September 2013 citing 14 violations and in this recent closure cited the eatery with 25 violations including rodent droppings and sushi held out at room temperature.

The manager at LA Café suggested WUSA9 go looking for a better story.

Also in this I Street food court, inspectors closed Kelly's Cajun Grill citing 16 violations including rodent droppings and a dead roach in the kitchen.

Around the corner, officials closed Stoupsy's reporting 22 violations including mouse droppings, open rodent bait and improper food holding temperatures.
