WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - A Postal Service worker was assaulted Saturday afternoon in Northeast, D.C., police said.
It happened in the 2300 block of 2nd Street.
The letter carrier had finished delivering his route and was returning to his postal vehicle when he was approached by two male suspects.
Both suspects were dressed in all black and wore black masks, police said. One suspect pointed his gun at the postal worker’s head and ordered him to lay on the ground.
After assaulting him, the suspects stole several of his personal items.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-877-876-2455. A reward of up to $50,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for this assault.
