Plaintiff speaks out on DC gun laws

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A man that is suing the District for its restrictive handgun carry ban has made his first public comments after a court ruled in his favor. He spoke with WUSA9 reporter Jim Osmond.

The battle for gun rights in the District has a new face, with a completely different perspective and a frank description of the D.C. gun regulation.

Tom Palmer, a staunch defender of gun rights is a plaintiff in the case that could change the gun laws. Up until now, a no carry handgun ban outside the home was in place.

A court struck down the ban and issued a 90 day stay of the ruling.
