WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - A 17-year-old teenage girl is dead after being stabbed during a fight outside of a Metrobus in the District Monday night.
D.C. police identified the victim as Kaelia Minor of Northwest, D.C.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Emerson Street in Northwest, where two women began fighting on the 62 bus.
The fight spilled out into the street and one woman allegedly attacked the other with what police believe was a large kitchen knife. The victim, who was stabbed in the chest was rushed away in an ambulance but died a short time later.
Friends of Minor tell WUSA9 reporter Pete Muntean they heard as suspect turn his or herself in.
