WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - A sad conclusion for the family of Pamela Butler, who went missing eight years ago and recently her boyfriend was found guilty in her death.
On Friday afternoon, Butler's brother Derrick reported partial remains of his sister were found near a roadway where investigators looked for her body.
Authorities searched the area with Cadaver dogs.
Derrick said construction may have destroyed her remains.

Butler was killed in 2009, just before Valentine's Day after being strangled by her boyfriend, Jose Rodriquez Cruz.
Cruz was sentenced to 12 years in prison for strangling her. His plea came with the condition of helping police locate her body.
Derrick said police told him that they would be looking for his sister's body this week in Stafford County, Virginia.
