More hospitals looking for drivers with 4-wheel drive

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Hospitals in the area are looking for volunteer drivers with four-wheel drive vehicles to help them out in the snow on Thursday.

Officials with Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Md. say they need drivers to transport essential employees to and from its campus. In return, volunteer drivers will receive mileage reimbursement, gas reimbursement and a meal, say officials.

To qualify, you must have a registered four-wheel-drive vehicle, provide a copy of a valid driver's license and insurance card and be 21 years of age or older.

Prince George's Hospital Center is also in need of drivers. Please call 301-618-3291 or 618-6644 if you're interested in volunteering.

Laurel Regional Hospital needs drivers. If you want to volunteer, then please call 301-725-4300.

INOVA Alexandria Hospital officials also say they are in need of drivers. People who want to volunteer should call 703-504-3375.
