Metrobus driver caught reading paper on job, rider says

Caught on camera, a Metrobus driver has been removed from his route after a passenger filmed him reading a newspaper while driving in Prince Georges County.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - A University of Maryland college student says he was shocked while riding the F6 Metrobus on Annapolis Road in New Carrollton.

Myles Hill tweeted the video which he filmed Friday afternoon. It shows the WMATA bus driver reading the paper for more than 45 seconds. Hill says the driver didn't seem to look up very often while reading the paper.

Hill says WMATA responded quickly to his tweet, which said, "Should my bus driver be reading and flipping pages in the newspaper while driving?”

WUSA9 will have the full story tonight at 5:30 p.m.
