Men killed in DC shooting identified

Two men who were killed in a shooting in the District Saturday night have been identified.

Police say 31-year-old Scorpio-Rodney Alonzo Phillips and 18-year-old Zoruan Otto Harris both of Southeast were killed around 8:23 p.m. in the 2600 block of Birney Place.

The seven other people were injured in that shooting Saturday night have also been identified except for the 8-year-old boy. 

The four men and two woman victims have been identified as Jamal Williams, Tyrone Washington, Antoine Jackson, Rahreem Murray, Sayleesa Garrett and Shantia Dewanna Jackson. 

Police responded to the scene after reports of a shooting. When they arrived they found Phillips and Harris suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police also found four men, two women and one boy suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
