MD, VA schools win $10,000 in jingle sing off

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Two elementary schools in the DC area will be award $5,000 each this week for being finalists in a jingle sing off held by Michael & Son Services, a plumbing service company.

Elementary schools within the the markets Michael & Son Services serve were eligible to take part in the competition. The schools created original videos of the Michael & Son jingle and then submitted the videos for a chance to win.

The two winners in the DC area are Hoffman-Boston Elementary School in Arlington, Va. and Clinton Christian School, in Upper Marlboro, Md.

Both schools will receive the funding on Thursday.

"We are always looking for creative ways to help the schools in the communities we serve" said Basim Mansour, Proud Son & Owner of Michael & Son Services. "The jingle contest was a great opportunity for the students to raise badly needed money for their schools and have a lot of fun in the process" continued Mansour.
