Man wanted for sexually assaulting DC woman

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with sexually assaulting a woman in the 500 block of 49th Street, NE, D.C. on Saturday morning.

Police said the incident happened around 5 a.m. when the man forced the victim to the back of the area and sexually assaulted her.

According to authorities, the man is being described as a black man with a very light complexion. He has shoulder length plats or dreads and a medium build. He is between the ages of 25 and 29-years-old, police said. He was wearing tan shorts and a white t-shirt at the time of the incident.

DC Crime Solvers currently offers a reward of up to $1, 000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
