A 29-year-old allegedly threatened a Green Line train operator with a knife Friday morning, Metro Transit Police said.
Around 8:45 a.m., Transit Police responded to the Anacostia Station after the operator of a southbound Green Line train reported that he had been threatened by a man now identified as Norman Polk.
While the train was stopped at a station, Polk allegedly kicked and banged on the door leading to the operator’s cab. When the operator opened the door, Polk allegedly displayed a three-inch folding knife and verbally threatened the operator for “not moving the train fast enough,” police said.
The suspect was arrested at Anacostia Station without incident. A knife was recovered at the scene.
