Man stabbed near Union Station

A man was stabbed near Union Station Tuesday night in the District.

Around 8:45 p.m., police responded to a call for a stabbing at Columbus Circle. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from two slash wounds – one in the arm and one in the lower back.

Police say the victim transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

The victim positively identified the suspect and that person is now in police custody.
