Shuttle bus driver shot to death on former grounds of Walter Reed Medical Campus

A shuttle bus driver is dead after being shot multiple times on the grounds of the former Walter Reed Medical Campus Friday morning, police said.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - A shuttle bus driver is dead after being shot multiple times on the grounds of the former Walter Reed Medical Campus Friday morning, police said. 

Around 8 a.m., police responded to the 6900 block of Georgia Avenue for report of the shooting. 

When police arrived to the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

Police said victim and the suspect are both shuttle bus driver with a history of conflict. Their verbal altercation turned physical and one driver pulled out a handgun and shot the other one. 

The victim died on the scene and detectives are questioning the other man.. 

Police say they cannot release the victim's name until they get a hold of his family.
