LIST: Trash and recycling collection information

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- If you are wondering whether or not your trash or recycling will be picked up this week, you might want to check some of these alerts out:

District of Columbia: Crews will try to collect Mondays from curbside (both once-a-week and twice-a-week trash collection neighborhoods) but will not collect trash and/or recycling from alleys. "Where trash and/or recycling is not collected today, DPW asks residents to hold these items until the next regularly scheduled collection day. In once-a-week trash and recycling collection neighborhoods, DPW will collect next Monday. In Monday twice-a-week trash collection neighborhoods where recycling also is collected on Mondays, DPW will collect trash on Thursday of this week. Residents are asked to hold their recycling until next Monday," according to the latest press release from DPW.

City of Alexandria, Va.: Refuse and recycling collection will not occur Monday, and will "slide" one day this week (to Tuesday).

City of Fairfax, Va.: Trash and recycling services has been cancelled. Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected on Tuesday.

Fairfax County, Va. Trash and recycling collection in sanitary districts has been cancelled for Monday.

Arlington County, Va.: No trash and recycling services Monday. On Tuesday, the crews will work on the "Monday" routes and then work on the "Tuesday" routes. Both "Monday" and "Tuesday" routes should put their carts out on Tuesday.

City of Laurel, Md.: Trash to be picked up as usual.

Prince George's County, Md.: All bulk trash, recycling, yard waste and regular trash collection services cancelled on Monday. Trash collections will resume on the resident's next regularly scheduled refuse day. All recycling collection will resume on a sliding schedule and pickups will move by one day throughout the week ending on Saturday.

Montgomery County, Md.: County-provided recycling and trash collections will begin at 10:00 a.m. Homes on streets that are not navigable will receive collections on Tuesday. The County Transfer Station will also open at 10 a.m.

City of Gaithersburg, Md.: Recycling for Monday is being suspended. For those whose regular recycling day is Monday, recycling will be picked up on Saturday, March 22.

Charles County, Md.: Curbside recycling collection will not take place on Monday, March 17. Monday A curbside collection will take place on Tuesday, March 18. Tuesday A curbside collection will take place on Wednesday, March 19. Thursday A and Friday A curbside collection will take place as scheduled on March 20 and March 21, respectively. Recycling carts should be curbside prior to 7 a.m. to ensure collection.
