Lanham water main break shuts down 2 EB MLK lanes

LANHAM, Md. (WUSA9) -- Authorities said there is a water main break in the 9800 block of Martin Luther King Highway in Lanham, Md.

According to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, the water main break was reported around 1 p.m. and is not affecting many customers.

The break is at the intersection of MLK and Forbes Boulevard. As of now, two east bound lanes of MLK are shut down.

The repair crew got to the scene around 4 p.m. It will take between four and six hours for repairs to be made.
