It's just like magic: Harry Potter bar coming to DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Something magical is coming to Town Tavern this October.

The Adams Morgan bar is transforming into A Very Potter Tavern, a month-long Harry Potter-themed party, starting October 5 through November 1. With different events throughout the month, muggles looking to go can expect Potter paint nights, Quidditch Pong Tournaments, dancing in the "Great Hall," and more.

For young witches and wizards, there will also be a daytime family-friendly event on October 14 with a magician, bounce house, and other goodies.

Even the drinks seem to come straight from Hogwarts. You can get a Muggle Mule, Polyjuice Potion, Fire Whisky and fan-favorite: Butterbeer.

And don’t forget about sweets. The tavern will have a Honeydukes Stand every weekend stocked with delicious treats. Chocolate frog, anyone?

Bar-goers are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Potter characters, but are told to leave any weapons (and dark magic) at home. And, of course, no drinking and flying broomsticks is allowed.

A Hogwarts Express open bar package can be purchased for $10 online, or, if you’re paying in wizard money, 22 sickles. There will also be tickets sold at the door. Check out Town Tavern's twitter to see the events (and tickets) they've added to the Potter-filled month.
