Fire damages strip mall in Southeast

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Two businesses are damaged after a two-alarm fire at a strip mall in Southeast, D.C. Monday morning.

It happened around 3:47 a.m. in the 1400 block of Howard Road. The 1300 and 1400 blocks of Howard Road are closed while crews look for hot spots.

No injuries were reported and the fire has been extinguished.
