Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of well-known local Go Go musician, Byron “BJ” Jackson.

Jackson, who most recently played with "Team Familiar", died on September 4th after a battle with cancer. He was 52-years-old.
"I think what he brought to us: his music, his creativity it was unparalleled," said friend and fellow musician Jauhar Abraham.
Loved ones say Jackson was gifted on and off the stage.
He is described as a wonderful man and father to his young daughter.
Family and friends say BJ will never be forgotten and will live on forever through his music.
Over his 30-year career, Byron Jackson also played with Rare Essence, Lalah Hathwaway, Arrested Development, and Rachelle Ferrell.
