DC police investigate carjacking, search for suspects

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police officers in D.C. are searching for two suspects who took a woman's car with her still in it.

Police say the incident happened in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Avenue SW at approximately 8:25 p.m. Monday.

According to police, two males stole a gold Mercedes ES 320 with the driver still inside. At some point, she was dumped from the vehicle or was able to get away. A police spokesperson said police were unsure how long she was in the vehicle. Police say she was not hurt.

A police spokesperson tells us that the suspects also stole other personal property.

The car was recovered in the 500 block of 49th Place NE at 2:10 a.m. but the suspects are still missing.
