CAUGHT ON CAM: Police seek persons of interest in homicide

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying several persons of interest in a Northeast Washington homicide.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, NE, where police say officers were called at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23 for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival on the scene, members located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police say. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Daniel Calvin Short of Southeast Washington.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
