Car backs into DC flower shop

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A car backed into a flower shop in DC on Thursday morning.

It happened at around 10:50 a.m. at Johnson's Flower shop on Van Ness Avenue near Tenleytown.

The Honda was up on two wheels, while the back of the car was hitched up on the fence in the side parking lot at the shop.

Police were issuing the driver a summons when our crew arrived at the scene. Police say an elderly woman was driving the Civic and lost control.

No one was hurt in the accident except, what looked like, a palm tree.
