911 operator helps deliver baby in DC

What started as a scary phone call ended with a special delivery about a month ago.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - What started as a scary phone call ended with a special delivery about a month ago. 

On November 5th,  Andre Smith called 9-1-1 after his wife LaTasha went into labor with their daughter in their D.C. apartment.

On the other line was dispatcher, Desirae Dammons. She helped Andre and LaTasha deliver the baby minutes after he called. 

On Wednesday, the couple and Desirae met for the first time.
