WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Police are searching for 27-year-old Edward Lee Reid for possession of a firearm after a child shot a 3-year-old boy while playing with a gun.
Reid is a felon and is considered 'armed and dangerous.'
The incident happened on the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, Southeast on December 16, around 5 p.m. Police said a 3-year-old boy was shot in the leg by another child while they were playing with a gun and it accidentally fired.

The boy was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound and he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
There is a warrant out for Reid's arrest. He is described as 5'10" and 140 pounds, police said.
