3 sex assaults may be connected in DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police in DC have released a composite sketch of a person who may be connected to three different sexual assaults in the past five days.

The most recent assault happened at 3:10 a.m., early Sunday, on the 1700 block of Park Road, when a woman saw a man following her. He grabbed the woman around the waist and then groped her under her clothing, police said.

"The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in late 20s to early 30s, 5'4", stocky build, cleaned shaven, short hair, wearing a blue, green and white polka dot button down collar shirt, and the red, black and white Chicago Bulls baseball cap (pictured)," police said.

Two other very similar assaults happened on August 23, and on August 20 at the 1300 block of Oak Street, NW and the 1700 block of Kenyon street, respectively, police said.

The assault on the 23rd involved a knife, where the victim was stabbed during the assault, police said.

Police released video of a possible person of interest in connection with the August 23rd incident on Thursday.
