WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police say three people were killed and four were injured in three separate shootings over the weekend.
Two people are dead and one injured after a shooting at North Capitol and T Streets early Sunday morning. The suspect in that incident has been arrested and charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder and one count of Assault With Intent to Kill, police said.
Three people were injured in a shooting near a playground in the 1700 block of Lincoln Road around 9 p.m. Sunday. Police say one man was shot in the leg and two others were grazed.
One person was killed during a shooting in the 3500 block of 6th Street around 10:31 p.m. Sunday. Police say a man was found at the scene with gun shots wounds to the head and neck. He was transported to Howard University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 22-year-old Delonte Hemphill of Southeast.
D.C. police are also investigating a stabbing in the 100 block of Joliet Street, NW early Monday morning. Police say an adult male was stabbed in the stomach. He was transported to the hospital. Police say they are looking for a black male with dreadlocks wearing a white t-shirt.
