22-year-old killed in Southeast shooting

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Southeast, D.C. Wednesday afternoon.

Twenty-two-year-old Gerald Martin of Northeast was found in the 1900 block of Bruce Place, SE suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Martin was initially shot in the 1800 block of Tobias Drive, SE and finally collapsed in the 1900 block of Bruce Place.

The investigation is ongoing.
