2 rescued in abandoned apartment fire in NE DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Two people were rescued in an abandoned apartment building fire Sunday morning in Northeast D.C., officials said.

The fire happened at the 900 block of 52nd Street.  When firefighters arrived, they found fire showing on the second floor of the three-story building. 

Officials say there were two occupants inside the burning building.  One victim was uninjured.  They are still working to determine the condition of the other victim.
