WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Two people are being evaluated after a house fire broke in the District early Tuesday morning.
Around 4:40 a.m., D.C. Fire and EMS crews responded to the 4300 block of 7th Street in Northwest for a house fire at a two-story row house fire.
Officials said the fire started on the first floor and rear porch and extended up to the second floor. Fire crews are still opening up and hitting hotspots.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Streets between the 4300 to 4500 block of 7th Street are closed. Streets between the 700 block and 800 block of Varnum Street are also closed.
