DC Police investigate homicide incident

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Officials are investigating a homicide incident which happened on June 4 in DC.

It happened on the 1900 block of Fenwick Street, N.E. around 2:42 a.m. When Police arrived, they found 33-year-old Rashard Raigns lying on the sidewalk, unconscious and unresponsive. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and did not show any signs of life. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia for an autopsy, officials said.

Officials say the death was ruled as a homicide.
