Police: argument over parking space led to stabbing

WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Waldorf man has been charged with attempted murder for stabbing another man in an argument about a parking space.

Charles County Sheriff's Office authorities say that last week officer responded to the 1500 block of Bryan Court in Waldorf for the report of an assault. They found a man suffering from stab wounds inside the townhouse. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.

Authorities tell us another man inside the house, 53-year-old Kenny Earl Morris, was identified as the suspect. Authorities believe Morris and the other man got into an argument regarding a parking space inside the townhouse. Morris claimed the other man parked in his space and during the argument he stabbed the other man several times, according to police.

Morris is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
