100 cars hit by BBs in Fairfax County

CENTREVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- During the last two weeks, at least 100 parked cars have been hit with BB-type projectiles in Fairfax County. Now, Fairfax County Crime Solvers want your help identifying the people responsible for the vandalism.

According to authorities, between Sunday, February 2 and Tuesday, February, 18, at least 100 vehicles were struck. Authorities say it appears someone was driving through neighborhoods shooting the BBs at parked cars.

Police say window and other property damage occurred on or near Old Centreville Road, Skipton Court, Federation Drive, Singletons Way and Compton Lane.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS(8477) or text "TIP187" plus your message to CRIMES(274637). A $100 to $1,000 cash reward will be paid for information that leads to an arrest.
