A woman was killed at a Capitol Heights home early Wednesday morning.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD. (WUSA9) - A woman is dead after she was reportedly stabbed to death in a Capitol Heights neighborhood.

According to Corporal Lamar Robinson, spokesman for the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the hospital around 1:45 a.m. after a woman was brought to the hospital suffering from trauma to the upper body.

She later died from the injury. Cpl. Robinson says it is unclear exactly how the victim arrived at the hospital.

A preliminary investigation led detectives to the 9400 block of Eugenia Park Street in Capitol Heights, where Cpl. Robinson says investigators believe a physical fight happened.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Jodi Henry of Mary Place in Fort Washington.

Later on Wednesday, police arrested 34-year-old Olayinka Kowobari of the 9400 block of Eugenia Park Street in connection to Henry's death.

They believe the victim and suspect were acquaintances.

Kowobari has been charged with first and second degree murder.
