Bomb threats cleared at 2 Mont. Co high schools

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two high schools in Montgomery County have been cleared after police received bomb threats to the schools, according to officials.

Northwood High School in Silver Spring and Northwest High School in Germantown were evacuated Tuesday morning. Police say students have been cleared to reenter both schools.

Montgomery County police say the threats were received around 9:30 a.m.

The students were transferred to nearby locations while police determined the validity of those threats.
