Body found by pond in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WUSA9) -- A person walking their dog discovered a dead body lying in a ravine behind a sediment pond in Maryland, officials said.

The body of Diane Donati, 48 was discovered on Friday around 12:19 p.m.,at the Bestgate Recreation Park located in the 700 block of Bestgate Road. Donati was 'fully clothed and dressed appropriately for cold weather and even had a blue blanket wrapped around her', officials said.

Police say that due to the condition and location of the blue blanket it appeared she had draped it over her shoulders in an effort to keep warm.

According to preliminary evidence, officials have ruled the death as 'accidental by hypothermia'. They believe there are no suspicious indicators and the case is not being investigated as a homicide.
