Bethesda, Md. (WUSA9) The Montgomery County Health Department confirms to WUSA9 the authenticity of a Wood Acres Elementary School e-mail acknowledging a "temporary suspension of meal services" after "evidence of mice was observed in the cafeteria storeroom."
Update: Inspectors say the school passed a re-inspection the next day.
"Suspension occurred and the principal's letter accurately describes the situation," said Montgomery County Health Spokeswoman Mary Anderson.
The school letter sent to parents at 4:01 pm, Wednesday, said the mice trouble was identified during "a routine inspection by Montgomery County Health.

"All items in the storeroom were sealed and wrapped and food items were not exposed to any contaminants," the email from Principal Marita Sherburne said.
Wood Acres Elementary meal services were suspended according to the letter.
"The kitchen has been cleaned and sanitized and will be reinspected Thursday morning," the Wood Acres letter said. "We anticipate resuming meal services in the cafeteria at lunch time."
