BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A shopping corridor in downtown Bethesda needs a new name, according to Bethesda Magazine.
It's commonly referred to as White Flint or North Bethesda. But developers who are transforming the area between the Beltway and Montrose Parkway in Montgomery County into an urban neighborhood are looking for a new name.
Bethesda Magazine says these 10 names, proposed during a meeting Thursday, are in the running:
- The Stem
- Market District
- Slate District
- Quartz District
- The Summit
- Pike District
- Metropolitan White Flint
