Police search for suspects in Va. home invasion

ANNANDALE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for two suspects in connection with a home invasion robbery that happened Friday morning in the Annandale area.

Police said they responded to a home invasion robbery in the 7400 block of Madeira Place for the report of a suspicious person.

The invasion happened around 7 a.m. when a 33-year-old man was sleeping and awoken by two men in his bedroom, police said.

The two suspects restrained the victim then searched another bedroom in the house before fleeing, according to police. The suspects forced their way through the front door.

Police said the victim was not injured. Other house residents were inside at the time, however heard nothing.

The two suspects are being described as Hispanic. Both of them were wearing masks and hooded jackets, authorities said. One suspect had a handgun.
