Police: No one charged yet in Ruthanne Lodato homicide

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- In response to a question on Twitter on Wednesday, Alexandria police tweeted that no one has been charged in the Ruthanne Lodato homicide.

Charles Severance has been called a "person of interest" in three Alexandria murder cases. Severance is being held in the Ohio County, W.Va. jail on a weapons violation charge in Loudoun County. In March, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe signed an extradition order to return Charles Severance to Virginia.

To charge Severance, Alexandria police need some solid evidence, such as DNA. Finding the gun used in the killing, a .22 caliber, would also be solid evidence.
